March 13

Last week during math the kids worked at different stations investigating shapes.  We are learning about properties of 2 dimensional shapes and will move into 3-D shapes this week! They have had lots of fun using play dough to build shapes, pattern blocks to fill in puzzles, blocks and cubes to build with as well as playing a fill the hexagon game!  Looking forward to investigating prisms, pyramids cylinders and spheres this week!
Here are some pictures that capture some of the math stations:

Just a reminder that we have ECO on Tuesday morning!  St. Patricks day is Thursday and in the past the sneaky leprechauns have visited our classroom! We would like to build some leprechaun traps to see if we could catch them before they make a mess in our classroom! If you have any boxes and other materials that we can use to build with, that would be great! We can use anything from paper towel rolls to tin foil or duct tape.  Kids can bring in anything to design these traps! Thank you!
